How is a quotation different from an invoice?
Quotations are pre-sale — they propose pricing for work that hasn't happened yet. They need validity windows (so the client can't come back six months later expecting the same price), optional line items (so you can pitch add-ons without forcing them), and explicit terms covering payment and scope.
What are optional line items?
Toggle “Mark as optional add-on” on any line item and it's shown separately from the required total in the PDF. Useful for offering tiers (“base scope + optional maintenance”) or upsells without making the headline price look bigger than it needs to.
Where does my draft go?
Nowhere except your own browser. The current draft is saved to localStorage so a refresh doesn't lose work. Hit “Reset” to wipe it.
